Quality Assurance EngineerLocation: Bellevue, Washington
This person will be a key member of Estorian's product team. This team member will perform Black box / White box testing on the Information Index, Archival and Powerful E-Discovery products. This position is responsible for submitting and regressing defects found during the test cycle, and will work closely with developers to troubleshoot and track down issues. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as well as the ability to implement automation scripts to facilitate more effective QA cycles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, submit and regress defects in Indexing/Archiving/E-Discovery software suite
- Develop and execute test cases that are in line with the engineering functional specifications and provide regular progress reports
- Troubleshoot and document issues narrowing them down to the root cause
- Verify software documentation for both functional and technical accuracy
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies
- Function as second tier Technical Support and triage customer issues
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years testing experience. Should understand the entire software development life cycle process
- 5+ years experience in Microsoft Windows environments
- 3 years experience in SQL Database and SQL+ (Query Analyzer). Needs to be able to verify database content integrity
- Working knowledge of operating systems (processes/services, etc)
- Working knowledge of client/server technology (protocols, etc)
- 3+ years experience establishing automation scripts using various tools such as Python and facilities within Visual Studio
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced experience with the MS Exchange
